Job Description
We are searching for a Field Service Technician Supervisor to provide supervision of Field Service Technicians primarily at western hemisphere job site region. The successful candidate will be expected to lead, direct and supervise a remote staff of approximately 20 Service Technicians. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to promote, quote and sell field service to new business opportunities in addition to the existing customer base.
Knowledge & Experience
- An aptitude/ability to lead a team of direct reports in a technical/engineering /fabrication field or environment.
- 2 years of previous technical sales experience in the combustion industry.
- An eagerness to grow the service business
- A very positive and customer-focused/driven attitude
Desired Skills
- 3 years of previous supervisory experience
- 4 year degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
- Extensive combustion knowledge
- Field Service experience in a combustion field or field experience working with PLCs
Education & Experience Required
- 2 years associates degree in a technical or engineering major or 5 years minimum of equivalent work experience in a combustion related field
Duties & Responsibilities
A typical day for the successful candidate includes regular communications with the candidate’s assigned direct reports and other of assigned international
technicians as required by Field Service Manager. Topics of discussion include maintaining proper safety training, ensuring customers’ on-site requirements are met and various Human Resource issues are addressed all in a timely manner. Among these duties, you will need to promote, quote and sell service both proactively and when opportunities arise during normal course of work. Trips to job sites required pending candidate’s prior knowledge and skills.
