Job Description

IntegriSource is working with a nationwide Industrial/Power Generation company who has an immediate need for an Inside Sales Engineer to work out of their Birmingham, AL office. The successful candidate selected for this position will act as the liaison between the customers and the technical engineering team to drive sales and provide sales support. Someone who is detail oriented, has strong technical ability with a sales background would be an ideal match.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Two+ years in a sales or sales support in a technical environment.
  • Technical experience in a commercial HVAC field preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline (i.e. mechanical engineering a plus).

Desired Skills

  • Technical knowledge of boiler equipment and parts.

Duties & Responsibilities

Role and Responsibilities

  • Identifies revenue opportunities within the CRM.
  • Prospects, qualifies, and generates sales based on opportunities.
  • Reviews plans and specifications to generate proposals in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analyze boiler system parameters to design for system optimization and/or other requirements.
  • Prepare submittals per the customer/spec requirements and ASME/Local Codes.
  • Telephones prospects to identify appropriate contacts, qualify, and drive leads through the sales pipeline.
  • Identifies and closes additional purchases of products and services for the account manager
  • Place orders with vendors on equipment sold with assistance from the Engineering group.
  • Works closely with Engineering, Sales, Parts, Service and Billing.
  • Responds to requests from account managers for information and engages in technical discussions with the account managers.
  • Perform training presentations on various topics related to products and system.
  • Assist in troubleshooting service issues in the field.
  • Participate in internal or external (CBRA) groups to assist in promoting beneficial change.

Skills & Abilities

  • Technical knowledge of boiler equipment and parts.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel as required (<20%)
  • Knowledge of Salesforce or other CRMs.
