Data Warehouse / Data Integration Consultant (FL) #2252 – Tallahassee, Florida
This is a contract 3-6 Months position.
Job Description
IntegriSource is working with a Tallahassee area employer who is looking for an experienced Data Warehouse / Data Integration Consultant. This project will run 6+ months on a contract basis and will be on-site at our client’s office. Remote work is not available for this position.
Qualified candidates must have 3 to 7 years of IT work experience in the following:
- Designing, implementing, and tuning data warehouse environments.
- Experience in the business areas of manufacturing and/or e-commerce preferred but not required.
Knowledge & Experience
- In depth knowledge and experience with the design, implementation, tuning, and troubleshooting of a corporate data warehouse environment
- Experience with relational and dimensional data modeling including constructing database normalization utilizing data modeling tools to record, update, reverse engineer and generate DDL creating logical and physical data models for current and proposed states
- Knowledge and experience with snowflake data warehouse
- Ability to architect a complete data warehouse environment with supporting constructs (data marts, data lakes, operational data stores, etc.)
- Demonstrate experience with the design, implementation, tuning, and troubleshooting of data integration tools (ETL, ESB, MDM, etc.)
- Knowledge and experience with with Talend ETL suite of tools
- Knowledge and experience with Talend Data Governance suite of tools (Data Dictionary, Data Quality, Data Preparation, Data Stewardship)
- Experience implementing a data dictionary against a data warehouse
- Knowledge and experience working with/in multiple database environments (Oracle, SQL, MySQL, Dynamo)
- Experience in multiple technical environments
- SSRS experience is a plus
- Experience with Redshift a plus
Education & Experience Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field from four-year College or University
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop a data warehouse roadmap, by assessing the existing data warehouse environment and suggesting improvements in design, process, and operations
- Implement enhancements and additional components of the data warehouse
- Provide documentation on the design, implementation, and ongoing operations of the data warehouse environment
- Assess the existing data integration environment and suggest improvements in design, process, and operations
- Enhance, design, develop, and implement additional data/system integrations
- Provide documentation on the design, implementation, and ongoing operations of the data integration environment
- Define metadata governance and best practices to ensure accuracy, validity, reusability and consistency of the data warehouse
- Participates as necessary in the development of test cases, test scenarios, and test plans to support the data warehouse and data integration environments
- Implement a data dictionary
- Develop data quality policies and procedures as necessary
- Develop data steward policies and procedures
