Front-End Web Developer – Tallahassee, Florida
This is a contract to hire 12+ months position.
Job Description
IntegriSource is working with a Tallahassee employer who is looking for an experienced FRONT-END WEB DEVELOPER. This project will run 12+ months on a contract basis and will be on-site at our client’s office. Although our client prefers contract to hire candidates, they will consider contract only.
Qualified candidates must have 3 to 7 years of IT work experience in the following:
- Software development, installation and modification in an online environment
- Experience in website content management system administration and development preferred but not required. *Must be willing to learn new system.
- Experience in the business areas of manufacturing and/or e-commerce preferred but not required
Knowledge & Experience
Technical Skills:
- Hands on experience implementing and/or maintaining a content management system (CMS).
- In depth knowledge of state-of-the-art web programming design, coding, testing, and debugging
- Demonstrate experience with development of web applications using the following:
- HTML/HTML5
- CSS
- Angular
- JavaScript
- JQuery
- MySQL
- Microsoft SQL
- Microsoft IIS
- Microsoft SharePoint
- C#, PHP, and JSON are preferred but not required
- Experience in multiple technical environments
- Knowledge of computer programming, systems analysis, and design principles and practices
- Experience in full System Development life cycle
- Experience with various development methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, JAD, etc…)
- Possesses knowledge of web development technologies (e.g., .NET, Visual Studio, etc…)
Education & Experience Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field from four-year College or University.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for migrating existing websites to a CMS platform.
- Hands on experience implementing and/or maintaining a content management system (CMS).
- Develops application and database components of new systems and/or enhances these components for existing systems
- Develops automation techniques to enable end-user content publishing
- Responsible for the design, development and creation of user-centered designs for web sites; works to improve the usability, usefulness, and desirability of websites in collaboration with the business
- Knowledge of some SEO principles and how to implement them on our website
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
- Programs, tests, and implements mapped graphic images, forms and HTML pages
- Tests, maintains, and monitors computer programs and systems, including coordinating the installation of computer programs and systems
- Researches, evaluates and recommends new internet tools and applications for use
- Reviews and clarifies current system capabilities, workflow, and limitations
- Reviews and clarifies functional and non-functional requirements
- Reviews and/or develops technical requirements
- Develops custom integration solutions including enhancements to major interfaces
- Participates as necessary in the development of test cases, test scenarios, and test plans to support business requirements
- Identifies and implements changes, modifications, monitoring, and testing according to approved business requirements
- Provides training/knowledge transfer to other IT staff on applications developed or enhanced
