Network Engineer – Tallahassee, Florida
This is a contract position.
Job Description
We are working with a top Florida client who has an immediate need to add an experienced Network Engineer to their team for a 5-month assignment (plus 2 possible 12-month extensions). This role is on site in Tallahassee, FL.
- Remote work is NOT an option for this role.
- Relocation is NOT offered for this position.
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of research related to information technology, with an emphasis on Network Engineering
- A Current Network-related certification
Requirements:
- A minimum of (3) years of IT work experience in infrastructure/network environments performing network engineering (hardware and/or software), design, planning and implementation,
- Clear knowledge of hardware and network infrastructure,
- Power to install, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure tools including wireless access points, firewalls, routers, switches, and controllers,
- Knowledge of transport systems and the standards for network infrastructure,
- Can build detailed network diagrams and documents for network communication systems design and planning,
- Network security experience
- Detailed knowledge of network protocols and services such as TCP/IP, DNS, proxy and DHCP.
Preference will be
given to candidates who have strength in the following areas:
