Job Description
IntegriSource is working with a nationwide Industrial/Power Generation company who has an immediate need for an Engineer to work out of their Birmingham, AL office.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a mechanical engineer in the industrial manufacturing/distribution industry
- MicroStation/CAD experience
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review plans and specifications to generate proposals.
- Prepare submittals per the customer/spec requirements.
- Perform design calculations and prepare equipment or parts selection.
- Analyze boiler system parameters to design for system optimization and/or requirements.
- Generate specifications for equipment selected.
- Generate proposals for outside sales review prior to going to the customer.
- Place orders with vendors on equipment sold with assistance from the Engineering group.
- Generate designs using CAD
- Answer technical questions from either the salesmen or anyone else within the company or outside.
- Perform training presentations using PowerPoint on various topics related to products and systems.
- Assist in troubleshoot service issues in the field.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Technical knowledge of hydronic systems (design, engineering, etc.)
- Technical knowledge of boiler systems (design, engineering, etc.)
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office
