Accounting Clerk (AR/AP) – Tallahassee, Florida

Job Description

We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Accounting Clerk to work with our partner client in the professional services industry. This is a fulltime (Monday to Friday - regular business hours) and onsite role at their offices in Tallahassee, FL.

General qualifications

  • The ideal candidate is someone with a strong interest in finance/bookkeeping.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) as they will be working with all levels of employees from leadership to peers.
  • Confidentiality on all matters is required.
  • The ideal candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office, Salesforce, expense management software, as well as have the interest/ability to learn new technologies.

Required Experience

Our clients require a minimum of  2 years of experience with the following:

  • Accounts Payable
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Record cash receipts A/R follow up
  • Scan checks and attach to cash disbursements
  • Create files from payable e-mail
  • Review recurring payables Request and file W-9s
  • Assist in preparing documentation for 1099s
  • Request ACH info from vendors
  • Resend invoices as requested
  • Manage finance e-mail flagging items for team member follow up and responding to requests for invoices, W-9s, contact updates, etc.
  • Maintain/update fiscal forms (mileage rate, W-9s)
