Business Administrator

Business Administrator – Tallahassee, Florida

This is a contract to hire 6 months position.

Job Description

We have partnered with a Florida-based non-profit organization, who is adding a Business Administrator to their team. This is an onsite position located in Tallahassee, Fl. In this role the Business Administrator provides comprehensive administrative, fiscal and program support for the executive office.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree (Business, Accounting, or related field)

Experience

  • 2+ years of business administration related work in a for a non-profit or for profit organization.
  • 2+ years of bookkeeping duties that include the following:

o Prepares purchase orders, check requests, expense reports, journal entries, and budget transfers.

o Compiles and analyzes accounting records and other data to determine the financial resources required to implement a program.

o Provides advice and/or technical assistance with cost analysis, fiscal allocation, and budget preparation.

  • 2+ years of experience managing executive calendars, setting up meetings that include  scheduling/planning events (board & annual meetings), travel arrangements, hotel accommodations, venue coordination, audio/visual setup, travel reimbursements, expense reports etc.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and QuickBooks, NetSuite or other bookkeeping software.
  • Preferred experience - Grant writing and management.
