Job Description

IntegriSource is working with a global law firm who is adding an experienced Engineering Patent Agent to their Intellectual Property practice group and can work from any of the firms US office locations: Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, or Washington DC.

***Our client is not offering sponsorship or relocation for this role.***

This role will start on a remote basis. When COVID restrictions are over this position will transition to onsite at their DC office (Monday – Friday schedule).

EDUCATION / LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS

  • A degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science. Absent a degree, our client will consider the equivalent technical experience.
  • Candidates must be licensed to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office as an agent.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of work experience in the electrical/mechanical/computer technologies patent prosecution field.
  • Experience in both writing original patent applications and prosecuting pending applications.
  • Familiarity with Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) practice, preferred.
  • Applicants must have excellent academic credentials and references.

RESPONSIBILITIES - The Patent Agent will work with Patent Attorneys to do the following:

  • Secure patents by preparing, filing, and prosecuting applications involving new inventions with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office
  • Evaluating the patentability of innovations and invention disclosures.
  • Preparing, drafting, and filing patent applications.
  • Drafting responses to domestic and foreign Office Actions.
  • Assisting patent attorneys with the global prosecution of complex patent families.
  • Performing prior art database searches for patentability and freedom to operate analyses.
  • Preparing draft amendments to patent claims, specifications, and abstracts.
  • Performing research and analysis and providing guidance on a variety of patent and Intellectual Property related issues.

IntegriSource is working with top-ranked Florida public accounting firms who are adding to their tax and audit teams. Positions are onsite. Experience levels include Staff, Senior, Manager, Sr. Manager and Director.

Must haves include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Licensed CPA and current with all applicable CPE requirements or CPA eligible with immediate interest in completing testing requirements
  • Recent experience in public accounting
  • Audit candidates must have experience with government accounting and auditing standards, experience with state and federal single audits, financial statement preparation, and knowledge of internal control systems in a government environment.
  • Tax candidates must have experience with pertinent Internal Revenue and Florida code sections and regulations to prepare corporate, individual, partnership, fiduciary, and other tax returns.

This is a paid, multi-semester position and will be 15-20 hours/week (flexible based on school schedule) to start in August 2021.  Work environment will be a hybrid of onsite and remote work.
