Make sales contacts, research customer needs, and develop application of products and services in an effective manner by:

  • Obtaining and coordinating data and information from staff and member groups.
  • Researching and developing lists of potential customers by using Stack Chaser and other tools.
  • Following up on all sales leads and make cold calls on potential customers.
  • Maintaining up to date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that effect target markets.
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations and close sales in a professional and effective manner by:
  • Developing sales proposals for customers on boiler systems products and services.
  • Making presentations to contractors, end users, suppliers, etc
  • Maintaining up?to?date awareness of activities, industry trends, and government regulations.
  • Making regular sales calls to develop relationships and follow up on leads.
  • Establishing long term, ongoing repeat relationships.
  • Acting to close deals and finalize contracts.
  • Monitoring, analyzing and communicating monthly sales data to contribute to product/service planning.
  • Maintaining and regularly updating CRM (Sales Force).
  • Reasonable, reliable attendance.

We are currently looking for an experienced Commercial Boiler Field Service Technician. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of Boiler or Burner experience and 1 year of Service Technician experience.

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Must be capable of troubleshooting, repairing and testing of all commercial boiler controls and system components
  • Good working knowledge of fire-tube and water-tube boiler systems, industrial boiler/burner systems, preferably with various manufacturers equipment (Superior, Johnston, Cleaver Brooks, Nebraska, Power Flame, Todd, etc.), burners (gas, oil & combination), & associated controls, electrical circuits, combustion and piping
  • Computer knowledge preferred, and experience on linkageless control highly desirable (AutoFlame, Honeywell, etc.) and knowledge of appropriate boiler related standards
  • Flexible, self-starter, able to work independently, and attention to detail · Successful completion of background and drug screen will be required prior to employment
  • Valid Driver's License required

This is an external sales position. The successful Boiler Service/Control Technician will be responsible for wiring, firing, and testing boilers in the field.  This position is responsible for the readiness of the customer equipment.

  • Travel required.   This is not a local or shop position.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Have knowledgeable of PLC’s, transformers, transmitters and other boiler controls.
  • Wire all controls and motors for watertube and firetube boilers and auxiliary equipments.
  • Rebuild control valves and regulators.
  • Build and test control panel using Engineering wiring schematic and layout.
  • Build and test fuel skids using Engineering wiring schematic and layout.
  • Build and test condensate tanks and deaerators.

  • Perform start-up of Rental boilers in field.
  • Assist departments as required.
  • Reads blueprints and wiring schematics.
  • Able to trouble shoot, fire, and set combustion on all types of boilers, including but not limited to boiler with superheaters, desuperheaters, and economizers.
  • Determines valve trim, regulator size and spring, oil gun length and size, and all other parts and accessories needed to fire any boiler.
  • Able to fire and set combustion on boiler with all types of pneumatic controls.
  • Able to fire and set combustion on boiler with all types of electrical controls.
  • Able to train other employee’s on the operation and controls of boilers.
  • Maintain condition of and inventory of all tools and monitors.

Education & Experience Required

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Six (6) years of boiler experience required on the
    electrical and control environment
  • Must be able to read and work from blueprints and schematics
  • Must have a broad knowledge of boiler controls
  • Mechanical and electrical background a must
  • Must have the ability to trouble shoot boilers and auxiliary equipment
  • Must be able to retrofit control systems in the field
