Job Description

IntegriSource is working with a nationwide Industrial/Power Generation company who has an immediate need for an Controls & Applications Engineer to work out of their Birmingham, AL office. This is a full-time role and working hours are Monday thru Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a mechanical engineer in the industrial manufacturing/distribution industry
  • MicroStation/CAD experience

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review plans and specifications to generate proposals.
  • Prepare submittals per the customer/spec requirements.
  • Perform design calculations and prepare equipment or parts selection.
  • Analyze boiler system parameters to design for system optimization and/or requirements.
  • Generate specifications for equipment selected.
  • Generate proposals for outside sales review prior to going to the customer.
  • Place orders with vendors on equipment sold with assistance from the Engineering group.
  • Generate designs using CAD
  • Answer technical questions from either the salesmen or anyone else within the company or outside.
  • Perform training presentations using PowerPoint on various topics related to products and systems.
  • Assist in troubleshoot service issues in the field.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Technical knowledge of hydronic systems (design, engineering, etc.)
  • Technical knowledge of boiler systems (design, engineering, etc.)
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office

Job Description

IntegriSource has partnered with a regional distribution company who is looking to add an experienced Commercial Boiler Field Service Technician to their team. Highly competitive salary along with generous benefits package.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and service of malfunctioning boilers, boiler related equipment and controls, checking and tune-up combustion & control settings on boilers & boiler related equipment, and preparing boilers for inspection and other installation and start-up responsibilities.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Required Skills  & Knowledge:

  • 2‐3 years relevant experience in service, repair and/or mechanical operations
  • Knowledge in boiler service, repair and/or operations
  • Past experience and knowledge in pump & motor service, operation, and maintenance
  • Plumbing & electrical trade certifications
  • Past pipefitting and/or plumbing experience
  • Knowledge in the operation and use of computers and computer operated boiler controls
  • Minor welding and oxygen cutting ability & experience
